Tonight I was watching The Comedy Central Roast of Jeff Foxworthy. Larry the Cable Guy was roasting Foxworthy and making fun of his cancelled sitcom. He said that Jeff is an even worse actor than "that waterhead on Life Goes On, Corky." He went on in that vein for a little while, comparing Foxworthy to a "disabled actor," and not in a good way. Even more disturbing, people were laughing and no one seemed to have a problem with this characterization.
If you're so inclined, please tell Larry what you think about him making fun of people with Down syndrome.

I'm probably get riled up for the wrong reason here, but the guy who played Corky was a GREAT actor and if anybody compared my acting work to his I'd be flat-out thrilled.
But my hatred of Larry already ran quite deep, so I guess my subconscious just skipped over the indignation at him and went right to the absurdity of his statement.
did it. sent a comment, even though i did not see it. what a JERK.
We got to see his live show when he doesn't have to censor himself for TV. It was a real experience. At some point we were hoping that there would be an intermission so we could leave.
~dust her hands off~ went there and posted my comment. Grown men making money off of disabilites make me sick.
Okay, I have to admit I don't know what Waterhead means, but what an asshole - obviously a derrogatory remark and WTF? People are idiots. They just are.
It amazes me almost daily that the words "retarded", etc, are bantered around on sitcoms and comedy shows as "humor" but if they use words with sexist, racist, or religiously demeaning comments, thats a reason for every newscaster in America to run a story and demand an apology. I guess we have to start boycotting and suing to get media attention.
