Walt Disney World in Pictures

It was a long drive, but we enjoyed it:

Our room was awesome:

And our view was even better:

We could (and did) watch the fireworks over the castle from our balcony, and we could hear them just fine, too. Ada's favorite things were the fireworks (Boom! Boom! Boom!), castle, Dumbo ride, and Minnie and Mickey Mouse.

Ellie loved everything Pixar (Block Party Bash with Toy Story et al, Finding Nemo - The Musical), the characters (especially the Mice), Kali River Rapids ride, and Playhouse Disney Live on Stage.

Paul and I loved enjoying it all vicariously through the girls. It was all about them this year; we didn't even ride any of our old favorites solo. Unsurprisingly, we couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more. And, yes, we did wear matching family t-shirts every day. When at Disney . . .

(This is Ada's hat.)

Oh, I love the Contemporary! I'd really like to stay at the Port Orleans, though. I can remember camping at the Wilderness Village one trillion years ago with my dad- I'm not much of a camper.
And the fireworks! My favorite part, too.

How's that for a disjointed reply? Anywho. Looks like you guys had an awesome time. Glad you all had fun!

Rob, that sounds like a PLAN!

Steph, it was all very excellent. We have friends who stay at Port Orleans Riverside every year and LOVE it. It's a Moderate that's really a Deluxe in all but price, I'm told. I'd love to stay in a Wilderness Cabin (not a tent or camper!) with the extended family, sometime. We stayed at Wilderness Lodge last time and really liked that, too. We've also stayed at Coronado Springs, All Star Music, and, awesomely The Boardwalk (the last two pre-kids).

Such fun times. :)

I really enjoyed looking at your photos! I would LOVE to stay at the Contemporary (walkable to MK) or the Boardwalk (walkable to Epcot), if budget allows!

I financed our first "grown-up" trip to WDW (read: without parents footing the bill) by doing extra freelance projects for work. That only got us into an All-Star Resort, but if I were better at managing money, or didn't have to include airfare, perhaps I could have stretched it a bit further.
