But not for much longer. I have two kids who will be up in a couple of hours, but I'm up this late to see a lunar eclipse? Am I nuts? I must be. Sure, the waiting has been fun, with the baby sleeping since 7:20, my book club tonight, then the cookie dough eating, Nintendo Wii playing, and assorted more adult games back in the bedroom. But now I've read all the
Parents magazine that I can handle for the day (what did you think I meant? Well, maybe that too.) and I'm exhausted. The weather is perfectly clear - great view - and our air conditioner is repaired, so I'm cool and comfortable. Hurry up, moon.

Did you see it? We are just across the river from you and could not see it from our yard...
We totally didn't care about the eclipse this time. Sleep is priority number one right now!
More important than that... Did you get a Wii??
Alex, we had an amazing view from our driveway!
Rob, we're idiots about sleep. Paul actually, voluntarily, pulled an all-nighter last night! It really confused Ellie, who woke up about once an hour and said something like, "Daddy on the couch?" "Night, night daddy?" "Daddy sweepy?" Pretty cute.
I talk to you and Anny in my head all the time; I need to actually pick up the phone! Yes! Paul gave me a Wii a couple of weeks ago, and we're such addicts! (That's what Paul was doing last night while "staying up to watch the eclipse.")
And then there are idiots about days - I swear I thought it was on THURSDAY that I would get up early. Loser me!!!
Canada, well, at least you got to sleep in!
I am great at misremembering dates. I don't know if I've posted about the time Ellie missed a friend's second birthday party. It was a big deal, as this things tend to be, and Ellie was one of about 3 planned child guests. It was awful, awful, awful.
