I get so frustrated by anyone trying to make complex issues too simple. Sigh.
A heartbreaking decision that would be made worse if insurance coverage and therefore money were the deciding factor.
I wish all those legislators voting for Stupak and even all of their constituents urging them to would be required to watch this and other real life heartbreak stories.
I think a lot of people choose to avoid stories like these because it's much simpler to have a pat answer without considering exceptions.
(Because once you say that "God will decide if the babies live or die" you start getting into tricky territory. What about a baby with a heart defect? Epilepsy? We no longer think seizures can be cured by exorcisms.)
Before I read your comment I never really thought about the fact that in some states women seeking abortions are required to watch certain educational videos (or an ultrasound). And yet . . .
