You realize, of course, that the guests' parents are all feeling woefully inferior to you now.
But, see, the beauty of it all was that everything was so amateurishly homemade. Nothing was fancy or required special skill. And it was all OK!
(Still, I like compliments.)
I do love a homegrown party!
I do love a homegrown party!
Me, too.
Imagination!
That cake kicks ass.
Thank you! The islands are cupcakes and bits cooked in pyrex bowls. (This was because Ellie wanted strawberry cupcakes and I found a way to work them into the theme.) The pirate ship is an 8 inch round cake cut in half and iced together. There are Whopper cannon balls, Rollo cannons, a Twix plank, chocolate Twizzler ropes . . . it was a blast to construct!
I want to be clear: I want an invite next fall for Ellie's party! :o)
Rob, I'll be offended if you're NOT here!
But after you see the way I put nearby adults to WORK in the stressful hours before a party, you might change your mind.
Wait, you were here for the Christmas party last year. You've seen the madness!
