Not easy to see in pictures: the hideousness of the wall paper, the gunkiness of the fixtures, and the fact that the tiles (which cover two walls, floor to ceiling) are harvest gold, painted white.

We did our economy helping with our AC unit last week. I paid bills the same day. Pit-in-the-stomach feeling is finally gone...
Ouch to the A/C. I told the bathroom guy that, "After buying a house, no check ever feels hard to write again." But that's not really true, is it?
