1) Accountability for political advertisements (These are good suggestions).
2) Stop running to the center. Run on what really you believe.

Not any time soon, though we in the blogsphere can continue to serve as the outside pressure that demands a modicum of accountability (as the conventional news outlets have let this responsibility dwindle).
